Public Infrastructure

Potable water, sewerage, stormwater and utility networks — executed to minimise disruption in the urban fabric.

What we do

Potable water transmission and distribution mains, foul sewers, stormwater drainage, pumping stations, valve and inspection chambers, network renewal and connection to existing systems.

How we work

In urban areas the critical step is locating existing services: a utility survey is carried out before excavation and crossings are confirmed in writing with the relevant authorities. Trench safety is provided by shoring, backfill and compaction are checked layer by layer, and the surface is reinstated.

Standards

Pipe materials and joints are selected to EN standards; pressure and tightness testing is a precondition of line acceptance.

Methods & Equipment

Excavators, trench shoring systems, pipe laying equipment, welding machines (HDPE butt fusion), pressure test units and CCTV line inspection.

Quality & Safety (HSE)

Trench collapse and strikes on existing services are the two main risks; shoring and pre-excavation location are mandatory. Temporary pedestrian and vehicle crossings are provided.

Process Management
01

Prequalification & survey

We review the tender documents, visit the site and put the existing conditions and the client's expectations in writing.

02

Quantities & proposal

We produce item-based quantities and present a proposal with a clearly defined scope; exclusions are stated explicitly.

03

Planning & permits

A single programme, the resource plan and required permit processes are set up.

04

Execution

The site is mobilized; infrastructure and buildings proceed on one schedule and are reported regularly.

05

Handover

The snag list is closed and as-built documents are handed over.

Common Questions
Can you renew a line without a water outage?

In most cases yes. Renewal is carried out with a bypass line; unavoidable outages are planned with the authority and announced to users in advance.

Who reinstates the damaged surface?

It is within our scope. Asphalt or block paving is reinstated to the section defined in the authority's specification.
