Architectural and interior concept study prepared for a planned 4-star hotel in Abidjan, the capital of Côte d'Ivoire.
The study aimed to establish a room layout suitable for operational standards and a consistent material-lighting language. The concept was developed to render the atmosphere of the rooms and the character of the common areas to the investor.
Room Typologies
Suite and standard room types were solved separately. A warm yet corporate palette was established with dark-toned wooden laminate wall panels, linen-textured wall coverings, and marble floor strips. Bed head lighting, work/service units, and storage were linked through a single design language.
Wet Areas
Bathrooms belonging to suites and standard rooms were addressed as a separate concept set with a compact yet spacious layout, large format ceramics, and recessed lighting scenarios.
Common Area and Exterior Shell
Character squares were prepared for the entrance/common area and exterior shell; the hotel's stance in the urban fabric and guest reception experience were defined at the concept level.
